In addition to dishes that traditionally do not contain carbohydrates, such as ceviche (a dish made with salmon, tuna, fish and seasonings) and sashimi (slices of raw salmon), others that have rice in their recipe, such as sushi and temaki, have gained a new version without the grain.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"sc-bdnxRM kLeiuA\">\u201cWe have to adapt to the new trend of not eating too many carbohydrates and eating more protein and vegetables. Most of the dishes today are ordered without rice by customers, and we adapt them by adding other ingredients in their place, such as fish, shrimp and squid,\u201d says Sueli Tiemi Hyashida, co-owner of the Mirai restaurant.<\/div>\n<div class=\"sc-bdnxRM kgQego\">\n<p class=\"sc-fujyAs cWdDRV\">According to Hyashida, the demand for foods considered healthy and with fewer carbohydrates has grown in the last year.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"sc-bdnxRM kgQego\">\n<p class=\"sc-fujyAs cWdDRV\">\u201cMany of our customers are from a healthy generation, who go to the gym and care about their health. And, especially at night, they ask us to remove rice from their plates,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"sc-bdnxRM kLeiuA\">Di\u00e1rio da Regi\u00e3o contacted six Japanese restaurants in the city and all of them already have a low-carb version on their menus. So if you are on a diet or intend to follow one, you no longer have an excuse not to eat out.<\/div>\n<div class=\"sc-bdnxRM kgQego\">\n<h2 class=\"sc-fujyAs cWdDRV\"><strong>What is the Low Carb Diet?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"sc-bdnxRM kgQego\">\n<p class=\"sc-fujyAs cWdDRV\">The Low Carb diet is known for its quick results. It proposes reducing the amount of carbohydrates ingested. In a conventional diet, a person ingests 50 to 55% of carbohydrates per day.
