I want to show you<br \/>\nhow to take fresh zucchini, cut it into thin slices, make it toasted, perfectly fried to say<br \/>\nwhat is the seasoning to use, and it only takes about 10 minutes. Let&#039;s make these. So here I have some fresh zucchini that I&#039;m just going to<br \/>\ncut the ends so I can make perfect circles. Now if you have a<br \/>\nmandolin, it&#039;s much easier and your zucchini slices<br \/>\nwill be nice and uniform. I will tell you that it is important that your zucchini slices or chips are approximately the same thickness, because I will determine<br \/>\nhow long they cook and what they cook<br \/>\nevenly in the fryer. Zucchini is a high moisture vegetable. So what we want to do is<br \/>\nnot only slice the zucchini, but also have<br \/>\na paper towel handy so that the paper towel<br \/>\nabsorb all that moisture, because otherwise<br \/>\nwould take much longer to cook. This is the same as in the oven. I have another video on this channel where I show how to do it<br \/>\nzucchini chips in the oven. And you definitely want to have<br \/>\nsure the water is out. So again, you grab your<br \/>\nknife hard and cut. You want to cut them thin enough that they are almost<br \/>\ntransparent and foldable, but not so much that you have some, you will always have some like<br \/>\nthese, so it&#039;s no big deal. We&#039;re going to grab a paper towel here, and grab our<br \/>\nzucchini slices and place them nicely on our paper towel or a<br \/>\nkitchen towel also works great. You will put them<br \/>\nover it for about 10 minutes. To help draw out the moisture, I&#039;ll take about 1\/4 of a teaspoon or a pinch of salt and<br \/>\nsprinkle over the zucchini slices. The salt will<br \/>\nhelp these guys dry off. Now, let all the<br \/>\nzucchini slices are on a paper towel or kitchen towel, and I salted them. I&#039;ll take two more<br \/>\npieces of paper towel, and you want to put it on top, to press it down a little bit, kind of absorb all the moisture. And as you can see, right away, a<br \/>\nsome of the moisture is already leaking into the paper towel. Okay, so our<br \/>\npaper towels have absorbed almost all of the moisture from the zucchini. We&#039;re just going to lift them up and take them out of the paper towel. Now, my air fryer has a tray that separates the zucchini chips from the bottom of the<br \/>\nmy fryer or baskets, so I&#039;m going to need the tray in there. And then I want to take my fries and make a single layer<br \/>\non top of this tray. So one at a time, I&#039;m going to put them<br \/>\nthem in my air fryer. Now, after all of our air fryer chips are in there, in a single layer, you want to grab some<br \/>\nspray olive oil and spray them. This helps them fry, toast, make them crispy and golden. Now, if you want to leave them<br \/>\nclear, you can just close it, and we&#039;ll set up our fryer. But if you want to put a<br \/>\nlittle bit of parmesan cheese, maybe a little bit of Italian seasoning,<br \/>\nmake them with garlic, whatever kind of seasoning you want to add to your zucchini fries, you should<br \/>\nsprinkle on top now. These go in<br \/>\nour air fryer at 370 for about nine minutes. And after the nine minutes are up, you&#039;ll want to use some kitchen tongs to flip your zucchini chips so they can cook the same way<br \/>\nother side for another seven to nine minutes. You&#039;ll want to keep an eye on them because when you start to see that some of them are<br \/>\ngetting a little warm, it&#039;s time to take them off. So, let&#039;s see what our<br \/>\nzucchini chips. I&#039;ll give you a few tips. So yours turns out perfect every time. Now, a batch of zucchini chips<br \/>\nIt&#039;s not a huge batch, but it&#039;s a great side dish. It&#039;s also a fun activity. You can get the kids<br \/>\nto help make these. Now, you&#039;ll notice that<br \/>\nsome of them are warmer than others in the same amount of time. And that&#039;s because when<br \/>\nI was cutting it, as I didn&#039;t use it<br \/>\nmandolin, I just used a knife, some slices of zucchini<br \/>\nare thicker than others. So my thinner slices<br \/>\nare a little more toasted, but they still taste great. Now, you can serve zucchini chips with some marinara sauce, you can sprinkle with parmesan cheese, then you can put them on<br \/>\nthem on top of a salad, serve them with other favorite roasted vegetables, serve them with<br \/>\nside of a fried egg This is easier because then<br \/>\nI can get my zucchini fries with that egg yolk action going so well.
