One of my favorite things to do with this cruciferous vegetable is to turn it into \u201ccauliflower rice.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Because rice is often a high-carb dish, it\u2019s a great way to replace a starchy vegetable. Plus, it\u2019s a great way to add more vegetables to your diet.<\/p>\n<h2>Two ways to obtain cauliflower rice<\/h2>\n<p>There are two ways to make cauliflower rice. You can use a grater (pictured below) traditionally used for cheese, or you can use a food processor with the grater blade to blitz it into small pieces. With either technique, you\u2019ll be able to make small, rice-sized pieces.<\/p>\n<p>An additional step I like to do is to press out any excess moisture from the rice by transferring the cauliflower rice to a large paper towel or absorbent dish towel and squeeze\/press to remove any remaining water. This ensures that no excess moisture remains, which can cause your dish to turn out soggy.<\/p>\n<h3>See how to cook cauliflower rice<\/h3>\n<p>Once you\u2019ve got your cauliflower rice, it\u2019s easy to cook! Simply saut\u00e9 it in a large skillet over medium heat in 1 tablespoon of coconut oil or lard. Use a lid to cover the cauliflower and it will become more tender.
