Low carb oven bread made with passion fruit flour

Low carb oven bread gluten-free and low glycemic index. Made with passion fruit flour, which is rich in fiber, it is low carb and was one of the first functional flours to appear on the market. Made from the white part of the passion fruit peel. passion fruit, where most of the nutrients are concentrated, such as pectin fiber, vitamin B3 (niacin), iron, calcium and phosphorus. Low carb oven bread | Ingredients

  • Eggs – 4 units
  • Passion fruit flour – 1/2 cup
  • Flaxseed flour – 1/2 cup
  • Chia – 2 tablespoons
  • Coconut milk – 1/4 cup
  • Tahini* – 2 tablespoons (can be substituted with almond butter, coconut oil or butter)
  • Sour cassava starch – 2 tablespoons (this amount in total carbohydrates won’t make that much of a difference)
  • Water – 1/4 cup + 1/8 cup
  • Baking powder – 1/2 tablespoon
  • Salt – to taste
  • Chia and flax seeds – to top as desired

 

Low carb oven bread | How to prepare

Beat the eggs well.

Combine coconut milk, tahini, and 1/4 cup water. Mix well.

Add the flaxseed flour, passion fruit flour, chia and tapioca flour. Continue stirring for a few minutes.

Add a little more water (1/8 cup) and salt.

Add the yeast and spread the dough into a small loaf tin lined with non-stick paper (or greased and floured).

Sprinkle some seeds on top and press down lightly with your hands. (optional, but it looks nice!)

Bake in a preheated medium oven for at least 30 minutes.
