LOW CARB Petit Gateau Recipe
This is “THE” dessert you have to make for Valentine’s Day. Don’t forget to try this delicious LOW CARB Petit Gateau Recipe.
I think Valentine's Day should be every day. Here at home, every day is a good day to spoil those we love. We don't need a special day to do it.
This day is little more than an appeal to consumerism where restaurants are filled with inflated prices, full of candles and heart-shaped balloons to create an atmosphere that is not very intimate (given the large number of people) and very tacky.
Here at home, in a crazy mood, I choose to make a small dessert (a rare thing, especially on weekdays) and that's it.
Dessert for the Man in the house has to be chocolate and there's nothing better than a Petit Gateau, one of his favorite desserts.
When I said on my Instagram that I was just going to make a Petit Gateau for dessert, I received countless messages wanting to share the recipe.
I took some photos, wrote the recipe and I hope it still reaches you in time to spoil your loved one. If it's already too late today, remember what I said at the beginning... every day is a good day to spoil those we love...
LOW CARB Petit Gateau Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons xylitol (or coconut sugar for a non-low carb version)
- 2 tablespoons almond flour
- 1/4 cup coconut oil
- 80 grams dark chocolate I used 85% cocoa
- qb cocoa powder to sprinkle on the molds
Preparation method
- Melt the chocolate with the coconut oil.
- Beat the xylitol with the egg.
- Add the chocolate to the egg and add the almond flour.
- Mix well and place in the molds previously greased with coconut oil and cocoa powder and bake in a preheated oven at 180ºC for 8 to 12 minutes. (it depends on the oven…
- but the goal is for the outer “cover” to cook and the inside to remain very liquid)
