Low carb refrigerator pudding recipe – This simple and easy-to-make recipe uses very healthy ingredients that work well on a low-carb diet.
Milk cream
Like any dairy product, cream is also rich in calcium, which is excellent for healthy bones. In addition, vitamin K found in heavy cream is also relatively high in helping you reduce the risk of some bone problems, such as osteoporosis and bone fracture. Not only that, the combinations of vitamins and minerals can also be excellent for tooth enamel and gum health.
Eggs
Eggs are a very good source of cheap, high-quality protein. More than half of an egg’s protein is found in the egg white, along with vitamin B2 and lower amounts of fat and cholesterol than in the yolk. Egg whites are rich sources of selenium, vitamin D, B6, B12 and minerals such as zinc, iron and copper. Egg yolks contain more calories and fat. They are the source of cholesterol, fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E and K and lecithin – the compound that allows emulsification in recipes such as hollandaise or mayonnaise.
Some brands of eggs now contain omega-3 fatty acids, depending on what the hens were fed (always check the carton). Eggs are considered a “complete” source of protein because they contain all nine essential amino acids; those that we cannot synthesize in our bodies and must obtain from our diet.
Gelatin
Most people are familiar with flavored and colorful gelatin. But it may surprise you to learn that gelatin is mostly made of protein. Gelatin is made from bone, cartilage, and skin from which collagen is extracted. Collagen is a fibrous protein that binds muscle, bone, and skin together in animals.
When collagen is processed, it becomes a colorless substance called gelatin. Once gelatin cools, it has a jelly-like texture. Unlike collagen, gelatin dissolves in hot water, and the texture becomes convenient for use in sauces, soups, and desserts.
The health benefits of gelatin are similar to the benefits of collagen, as gelatin contains the same amino acids.
