Place 2 egg whites and 1 egg yolk in a bowl and beat with a fork until foamy, it doesn't need to be stiff. Then add a little cinnamon, 1 teaspoon of coconut oil, 3 tablespoons of coconut milk, ½ grated apple with skin (preferably a very sweet apple, as there will be no added sweetener), two tablespoons of coconut flour, 1 tablespoon of flaxseed flour.

Experts attribute the heart-healthy benefits to the antioxidant compounds found in apples, which help prevent the oxidation of LDL cholesterol and inhibit inflammation. Additionally, the soluble fiber in apples has also been shown to lower cholesterol levels.

People who eat apples may be less likely to suffer from metabolic syndrome, a cluster of symptoms linked to an increased risk of heart disease and diabetes. Joyce Hendley reported in the journal EatingWell that researchers analyzing data from NHANES, a survey of dietary habits and health, found that people who had eaten apples in any form the previous day were 27% less likely to have symptoms of metabolic syndrome than those who had not. Apple eaters also had lower levels of C-reactive protein, a marker of inflammation whose presence in the blood suggests an increased risk of heart disease and diabetes.

Eating an apple before a workout can increase your endurance during exercise. Apples deliver an antioxidant called quercetin, which helps with endurance by making more oxygen available to the lungs. One study showed that quercetin—when taken in supplement form—helped people cycle longer.
