Ingredients for low carb crispy turnips
3 turnips
4 tablespoons melted lard
1 packet of Garlic Powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1 packet of onion powder
How to prepare low carb crispy turnips
STEP 1
Preheat oven to 425°F.

Peel the turnips and cut them into French fries. Place them in a large bowl, and toss with melted lard to coat. Place the garlic, paprika, and onion powder in a plastic bag and shake to mix. Pay attention to the amount of seasoning, add the portions to your taste.

Place the oiled turnips in the bag, and shake until evenly coated with the spices. Spread evenly onto the foil-lined baking sheet.

Bake in the oven until the fries are crispy on the outside and cooked through (approximately 40 minutes, depending on the thickness of the turnip slices). Turn the slices halfway through cooking to ensure even cooking. Season with salt to taste. Serve with sugar-free ketchup and homemade mayonnaise.
