Low Carb Boneless Chicken Recipe – Protein

One 3 oz. boneless, skinless chicken breast contains 27 g of protein, containing all the amino acids essential for human health. Protein is an important building block of all muscle tissue in your body, including skeletal muscle, heart tissue, and the smooth muscle found in the walls of your intestines. Protein is also responsible for maintaining and building other structures in your body, such as cells and bones, and performing many crucial jobs, including breaking down toxins.

A chicken breast is relatively low in saturated fat compared to many protein alternatives, especially when the skin is removed. By replacing chicken with higher-fat cuts of meat, you can lower your risk of developing heart disease by lowering your LDL, or “bad,” cholesterol. Eating low-fat alternatives can also help you maintain a healthy weight. Grilling, broiling, and baking are great cooking methods for keeping the fat content lower.
