Low Carb Manjar Recipe | Benefits
Powdered gelatins are increasingly beneficial to human health. According to Jaime Farfan, professor at the Department of Food and Nutrition at the School of Food Engineering at Unicamp, the use of gelatin as an ingredient or as a dessert has helped to strengthen nails and hair and moisturize the skin, giving it greater resistance, thickness, growth and shine.
“As a product extracted from collagen, especially bovine collagen, gelatin contains a series of protein fragments that, when absorbed by the intestine, are partially digested and provide amino acids, which are essential for maintaining bones and the reconstitution or regeneration of some joints,” explains Farfan.
A healthy body needs collagen to maintain muscle tone and firm skin, with a daily replacement of approximately 1g per kilo of body weight. Research shows that, around the age of 25, the body begins to reduce collagen production in contrast to the constant need for this important molecule in the process of rejuvenation and cellular repair.
