Air Fryer Green Zucchini Chips

let's make zucchini chips in the air fryer. I want to show you
how to take fresh zucchini, cut it into thin slices, make it toasted, perfectly fried to say
what is the seasoning to use, and it only takes about 10 minutes. Let's make these. So here I have some fresh zucchini that I'm just going to
cut the ends so I can make perfect circles. Now if you have a
mandolin, it's much easier and your zucchini slices
will be nice and uniform. I will tell you that it is important that your zucchini slices or chips are approximately the same thickness, because I will determine
how long they cook and what they cook
evenly in the fryer. Zucchini is a high moisture vegetable. So what we want to do is
not only slice the zucchini, but also have
a paper towel handy so that the paper towel
absorb all that moisture, because otherwise
would take much longer to cook. This is the same as in the oven. I have another video on this channel where I show how to do it
zucchini chips in the oven. And you definitely want to have
sure the water is out. So again, you grab your
knife hard and cut. You want to cut them thin enough that they are almost
transparent and foldable, but not so much that you have some, you will always have some like
these, so it's no big deal. We're going to grab a paper towel here, and grab our
zucchini slices and place them nicely on our paper towel or a
kitchen towel also works great. You will put them
over it for about 10 minutes. To help draw out the moisture, I'll take about 1/4 of a teaspoon or a pinch of salt and
sprinkle over the zucchini slices. The salt will
help these guys dry off. Now, let all the
zucchini slices are on a paper towel or kitchen towel, and I salted them. I'll take two more
pieces of paper towel, and you want to put it on top, to press it down a little bit, kind of absorb all the moisture. And as you can see, right away, a
some of the moisture is already leaking into the paper towel. Okay, so our
paper towels have absorbed almost all of the moisture from the zucchini. We're just going to lift them up and take them out of the paper towel. Now, my air fryer has a tray that separates the zucchini chips from the bottom of the
my fryer or baskets, so I'm going to need the tray in there. And then I want to take my fries and make a single layer
on top of this tray. So one at a time, I'm going to put them
them in my air fryer. Now, after all of our air fryer chips are in there, in a single layer, you want to grab some
spray olive oil and spray them. This helps them fry, toast, make them crispy and golden. Now, if you want to leave them
clear, you can just close it, and we'll set up our fryer. But if you want to put a
little bit of parmesan cheese, maybe a little bit of Italian seasoning,
make them with garlic, whatever kind of seasoning you want to add to your zucchini fries, you should
sprinkle on top now. These go in
our air fryer at 370 for about nine minutes. And after the nine minutes are up, you'll want to use some kitchen tongs to flip your zucchini chips so they can cook the same way
other side for another seven to nine minutes. You'll want to keep an eye on them because when you start to see that some of them are
getting a little warm, it's time to take them off. So, let's see what our
zucchini chips. I'll give you a few tips. So yours turns out perfect every time. Now, a batch of zucchini chips
It's not a huge batch, but it's a great side dish. It's also a fun activity. You can get the kids
to help make these. Now, you'll notice that
some of them are warmer than others in the same amount of time. And that's because when
I was cutting it, as I didn't use it
mandolin, I just used a knife, some slices of zucchini
are thicker than others. So my thinner slices
are a little more toasted, but they still taste great. Now, you can serve zucchini chips with some marinara sauce, you can sprinkle with parmesan cheese, then you can put them on
them on top of a salad, serve them with other favorite roasted vegetables, serve them with
side of a fried egg This is easier because then
I can get my zucchini fries with that egg yolk action going so well. And guys, I want to know what your plans are for
