Gluten-Free and Low-Carb Pizza Dough

That low carb pizza dough It is very simple and very practical.
One thing I could eat every day without a problem is pizza. It has always been one of my favorite foods to eat. And, it also happens to be one of those foods that I could never easily transition from. low carb.

Even though there are a lot of options for low carb pizza dough , I'm not a big fan mass cauliflower pizza . And any other recipe of  low carb pizza dough includes a lot of cheese or cream cheese. Personally, I try to limit my dairy intake, so making a pizza with a lot of cheese doesn't make much sense to me.

But I've been trying to figure out a good recipe for low carb pizza dough since the beginning of the new year. Previous attempts resulted in a dough that didn't turn out very well. And personally, if I'm going to eat pizza I want it to taste as close as possible to the traditional one.

A recipe for low carb pizza dough gluten-free pasta that is rich in fiber and protein. One whole pasta has 415 calories and 8g net carbs.

Low carb pizza dough | Ingredients

 

  • 3 tablespoons coconut flour
  • œ tablespoon of bark psyllium powdered
  • œ tablespoon parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 2 eggs, large
  • ÂŒ teaspoon baking powder
  • œ teaspoon salt
  • ÂŒ teaspoon unsalted garlic and herb
  • ÂŒ cup water

Low carb pizza dough | Instructions

 

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
  2. In a medium sized bowl, mix together the dry ingredients of coconut flour, psyllium husk powder, parmesan cheese, baking powder, salt, garlic, and herb.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the wet ingredients of coconut oil, eggs, and water.
  4. Slowly mix the dry and wet ingredients until well combined.
  5. Take the dough and form it into a single piece, place it on wax paper.
  6. Using a rolling pin, shape the dough with a rolling pin (the wax paper will be on the baking mat and a piece of wax paper on top of the dough.
  7. When done, transfer to the refrigerator for 5-10 minutes.
  8. Using a baking sheet, transfer the dough to the oven. Bake on each side for 10 minutes.
  9. Remove from the oven and add your topping.
  10. Place back in the oven until the topping reaches the desired point.
