Low Carb Shrimp Stroganoff Recipes – See now why it is important to consume shrimp on a low carb diet: in addition to being delicious, shrimp has properties that combat arthritis and osteoarthritis thanks to glucosamine. It has high biological value protein, or so-called complete proteins, those with all the amino acids that the body needs. It is an excellent source of omega-3, the fat that prevents cardiovascular diseases, hypertension and cancer.

1 – Simple low carb shrimp stroganoff recipes

Ingredients

400g of medium shrimp, cleaned and previously seasoned with lemon, salt and pepper.

1/2 chopped onion;

200ml of fresh cream or a small box;

2 tomatoes, skinned and seeded, chopped;

1 tablespoon of mustard;

Salt, black pepper and parsley to taste.

Sauté the onion in a mixture of butter and olive oil (1 tablespoon of butter and 2 tablespoons of olive oil), add the shrimp and as soon as they “blanch” add the tomatoes (the tomatoes must be very ripe to dissolve quickly).

Next, add the mustard and finally the cream. If it is too thick, add a little milk. Season with salt and white pepper. Add parsley when serving. Serve with cauliflower rice.

2 – Low carb shrimp stroganoff recipes with paprika and Champion

600g of shrimp, cleaned

A pinch of hot paprika or cayenne pepper (optional)

1 tablespoon butter

1 medium onion

2 cloves of garlic

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 cup white wine

200g canned mushrooms

5 tbsp. of low carb ketchup (or more, to taste)

2 tablespoons of mustard

2 boxes of cream

Preparation method

Season the shrimp with salt, black pepper and a large pinch of hot paprika or some other stronger chili powder like cayenne (this extra pepper is optional but gives a great touch).

Chop the onion and garlic. Heat a tablespoon of butter in a medium saucepan and sauté the onion over medium heat until it almost begins to brown, about 5 minutes. Add the garlic and sauté for one minute.

Add the shrimp to the pan and sauté everything, stirring well, until they start to change color. Once they are all pink, add the Worcestershire sauce and white wine.

Mix and let it boil for about 5 minutes, to reduce and eliminate the alcohol.

Add the mushrooms and mix. Add the ketchup and mustard and mix again.

Taste the shrimp to see if they are cooked through. If they are not, cook them a little more. Turn off the heat and add the cream and mix. Serve.

Low Carb Shrimp and Chayote Recipe

Preparation method

Leave the shrimp for 5 minutes in a container with water and 1/2 squeezed lemon. Then, drain and wash them under running water.

Grate the onion on the finest side of the grater.

Peel the garlic and crush it in a mortar with ground pepper and 1 teaspoon of salt. When it is well mashed like a paste, rub it into the shrimp to season and set aside.

In a pan, over high heat, add a tablespoon of butter and the grated onion. Let it sauté for 15 minutes until the onion turns golden.

Then add the white wine, let it evaporate for 1 minute and add the extract, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup and fresh cream. Let it boil for 5 minutes and turn off the heat.

In another pan, over high heat, melt the remaining tablespoon of butter. Then, add the seasoned shrimp without overlapping them. Wait until they change color and then turn them over. This should take about 3 to 5 minutes, depending on the size of the shrimp. Small shrimp will change color faster.

When it is browned on both sides, add the reserved sauce, reduce the heat to medium, mix everything and taste for salt. It's ready!
